Welcome to the Home of the

MSJ is a late season elite level tournament that will give your best wrestlers exposure to top flight competition going into league, section and state competition. It will feature most of the the top ranked teams in both the North Coast and Central Coast with additional strong representation from Central Section as well.

This is a 32 man double elimination tournament with one-and-out pigtails if necessary. Medals are awarded to the top six place winners. As usual it will be held in the SUPER-PLEX facilities of Mission San Jose High School in Fremont. It runs on time and features an outstanding Coaches' room buffet spread.

If you wish to receive an invitation, please fill out and submit the entry request form. Due to the size of the tournament, we will give first priority to highly competitive teams and individuals. Invitations will be sent by October 1.

If you do not initially receive a team invitation you may still enter your quality wrestlers. Additional team and individual entries will be accepted for the 2010 tournament until the brackets are full. Preference will be given to individuals with accomplished tournament records and fully paid entries.

Last year 61 teams were represented at MSJ. Clovis took the title for the second year in a row.

The 65 of the 430 wrestlers in last year's starting field qualified to Bakersfield and produced 14 CIF State Medalists including six state champions: Jesse Degado 112, Martin Gonzalez 125, Cody Rodebaugh 140, Scott Sakaguchi 145, Nick Pica 215, and Roger McCovey 285. Unfortunately David Klingsheim, the MSJ 2007 & 2008 champion could not compete for personal reasons or MSJ would have claimed 50% of the CIF championship field.

Entry Fee: $350 per team DUE November 20, 2009
